From our home to yours… warmest wishes and a red rose. Seasons miracles brought three red roses to a planter outside of our home since Thanksgiving… now it is almost Christmas.
YorkieBear and I have walked by these blooming miracles daily with wonderment. The first red rose weeks ago fully bloomed.
The full bloom of this red rose still shows in full rose petals. The petals remaining on the rose we don’t understand… most roses the petals would have fallen off.
These roses came out of a small potted rose bush and a small potted ivy plant we had indoors. We potted them outside in a nearby vacant large pot with good dirt.
So we decided to give the red rose and the ivy a new home… they became roommates… they seem to love each other. Together they’ve grown with a little water and plant food fertilizer pellets.
To our surprise up popped the first red rose bud. Slowly the green bud grew to all of a sudden a peek of red… becoming a full blooming red rose one day.
Mystique… Three Red Roses
We thought of calling a local plant nursery to find out if roses bloom this time of year. We decided not to call as we enjoy the mystique of this beautiful unexpected gift of roses… our favorite color…red.
As the days have grown colder since Thanksgiving we thought surely the rose would die. No the rose is still here as of this morning… with rose petals intact… lightly drained of color.
Beside this rose grew two other miniature roses… green buds getting larger day by day. This morning one of the buds has red velvet petals popping above its green bud jacket.
These roses are in a large pot by our gate at face level on an architectural column. The bright red color commands our attention as we walk in and out of the front gate.
How they managed to surprise with their red bloom is a miracle. Warm welcoming red blooming miracles to share the bright sunshine with us daily.
We can’t wait for the last of the three roses to raise its red petals above its green bud jacket and say “hello” to us also. It is already starting to pop the green jacket and is showing a peek of red.
The other day we read the color red says “hello”… we believe that as red welcomes us so well at our gate. So “hello” to you with our warmest wishes this Merry Christmas and holiday season.
We hope it is the brightest and the best and you will have the happiest New Year ever! We will see you next year!
BearHugs & a warm red rose and the best season’s miracles ever for you,
